Knitting: Something To Get You Prepared For The Wedding KAL, Should I Ever Find The Pattern

The Grace Scarf

I must apologize. I cannot find a picture of the one finished piece that was test-knit for this pattern.

You can see the picture here on Ravelry on the defunct listing page for the pattern. The test knit was done on size US 10 knitting needles with worsted-weight yarn.

The lace pattern is the same as the mermaid lace ear warmer/headband pattern I have posted here. You can find the picture of that piece here on Ravelry on its defunct listing page.

Currently, this pattern is written as a stitch-by-stitch pattern. It has not yet been charted.

Gauge is your choice. It depends on your yarn and your needles. As the pattern is not for a fitted piece, it is not necessary to worry about the gauge.

We do suggest you knit a gauge swatch (pattern below) to help you choose what look you would like to have with your piece. You can work your piece as loosely knit or as tightly knit as you like, depending upon your personal preferences.

Feel free to experiment with different yarn weights and different needle sizes until you find one that best pleases you.

K = knit
P = purl
YO = yarn over
Sl1 = slip 1 stitch
K2tog = knit two stitches together
Psso = pass slipped stitch over
B = border
CO = cast on
BO = bind off
PM = place marker
SM=slip marker

Lace Pattern:
{yo, k1, (sl1, k2tog, psso), k1, yo, k1}

Note:
In order to help keep track of your place in the pattern, place stitch markers after/before the border (B) stitches and in between the lace repeats. This will help you keep track of each repeat in case you drop a stitch or anything unforeseen happens.

Example:
B3; PM; k3; yo, k1, (sl1, k2tog, psso), k1, yo, k1; PM; k3; PM; yo, k1, (sl1, k2tog, psso), k1, yo, k1; K3, PM; B3
Simply slip each marker (SM) as you come to it.
