Just like any other page or spread in our Grimoire, you choose whether you want or need one page, two pages, or more pages.
There is nothing overly complicated about this page.
If you want to make it pretty, maybe you add doodles or washi tape along the longer outermost edge. Maybe you add bits of collage here and there, creating more of a column effect so you can break up your writing into more eye-catching sections. Maybe you drip paint here and there and write over it using white or other colorful inks.
That is all up to you.
The purpose of this brain dump is for you to empty your heart and your mind of every single thing you want. What do you want to do? What do you want to have? Where do you want to be? What do you want to see? Who do you want to meet?
If you want to confine it to right now, fine. Do that. What do you want, right now?
If you want or need to break it down, do so. What do you want right now? What about three months from now? Six months from now? A year from now? Two years from now? Three years? Five? Ten? Twenty?
Break down the increments of time in whatever way best suits you.
Maybe you need to put down what you want right now, what you want for the coming week, and for the coming month, but beyond that, you just want to wait.
Do that.
You can write ‘Things I Want’ across the top of the Spread if that helps focus your attention,
You could write down every want as a statement. For example, ‘I want to get a new dog.’
You could write things down under simple headers. ‘Wants Now’, ‘Wants In Three Months’, and so forth.
Or you can skip all of that and write it all out onto the page with no explanation at all. For example: dog, plants, rug, table, bowls, car, apartment, job, coffee, dinner. A pure stream of consciousness. You don’t even need to use commas or write on the same line or anything else.
Whatever you need to do to get it out of your head and in front of you, that is all that counts.
Why do we do this? So that we can see what we want. It’s here on the page in front of us.
Now we can decide what is most important to us right now. We can decide how we want to go about getting it. We create our goals. This way we know what tasks we need to accomplish to get those goals.
This page/spread can inspire us to stay on track. It can remind us of why we are doing the things we do…or remind us of the things we need to be doing.
