Crochet Post: Nope #MAKEITCAL2023

Yesterday I went stash-diving for an appropriate yarn to make my Summertime Tank, while keeping an eye out for something nice for the Summertime Tee as well.

Although I found a lovely melange of coral-esque wool that may make a beautiful Summertime Tee, and I found something like Butta in a cool grey color that may make a yummy Summertime Tank, the one yarn that actually spoke to me was … Yarnspirations Bernat Pop!

I have a stash of Bernat Pop and Mandala in various cakes because I found a bunch of it on clearance years ago for a dollar a skein, so I scooped up every single one I could, whether it was the only color of its kind or whether there were five or six of the same color.

I have two skeins of Bernat Pop! in the colorway of Planetary. I had had another TLYC pattern in mind yesterday when I wrote my post. The Daydream Shawl. It is another one of Toni’s amazing free patterns. She does have a video to walk you throw it.

That was something that made me pause while stash-diving. There is no video walk-through for the Summertime Tank which started to worry me about completing the project well. Seriously, yes, I scared myself into doing something with a video tutorial so I didn’t waste my time or my yarn.

I already have a project page set up on my Ravelry account, if you are interested in checking that out.

I will post on TikTok and on Instagram as I move the project along, if you are interested.
