I am planning to work on my own knitting project this month, in addition to the other pieces that I am currently working on (more on them later).

One of my favorite knitwear designers is Knitatude. She has a free pattern for a simple hair tie … thingy … and I need to have a bunch of these made up to keep my hair out of my face…while still being able to leave my hair loose–these are perfect for that. The pattern is called The Pin Me Up Headband.

My plan is to knit one up each day in December, every day a different color. Thirty-one of these ties should tide me over and keep me secured, or at least my hair, for the coming year. Hopefully.
