My Sewing Goals For The Year

Seems a bit odd for me to say that, my sewing goals, since I have not done much sewing in recent years, even though I love it so much.

I have a few goals where my wardrobe is concerned.  I have been mightily downsizing for several years now.  I am going to go through the entire process one more time, using the basic principles of Marie Kondo, although I have no intention of piling up every single piece of clothing in one place in order to go through it. If the process is that overwhelming, I won’t do it–nor would I finish it if I did.

I plan to give each section, each drawer, each section of hanging clothes, its own fifteen minutes (or however long it will take), and slowly work my way through things.  I will also take my time and be sure of what I am letting go of and what I am keeping.

Anyway, my plans are to make about ten pairs of palazzo pants, because I have been wanting to do this for years now.

Other than that, I need to finally sew together my youngest’s two blankets…and those are actually the only real goals I have…although I do believe I have agreed to sew up some fleece blankets for the small boy as well. My mother gave me a gorgeous stash of fleece fabric and my boy has PLANS for all that stuff from his granny, I tell you.
