This patterns knits up quickly in bulky weight yarn.

It is a fairly simple pattern. It would be a nice entry into an easy lace pattern for beginners.

You can use any size yarn and needles you like, adjusting the width of the pattern if you would like. The lace repeat is a six stitch repeat, so if you would like to add to the width of the pattern, add six stitches.

I have made this pattern several times, using bulky yarn and larger needles, using DK yarn and smaller needles. I always use needles larger than called for so that the lace remains open and visible.
