My son and I decided to share some of his favorite Halloween books.
Here’s his list.
Five Little Pumpkins (This has been his favorite since he was an infant. He is the Pumpkin King. We have pumpkins everywhere, all over the house, just for him.)
Samurai Scarecrow: A Very Ninja Halloween by Rubin Pingk
Happy Halloween, Stinky Face by Lisa McCourt (I Love You, Stinky Face has been a family favorite here for years.)
The Spider And The Fly by Mary Howitt (another family favorite for years)
There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat by Lucille Calandro (my son LOVES the old lady books and is working to collect them all)
The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything by Linda D. Williams
Frankenstein Makes A Sandwich by Adam Rex
Spookley The Square Pumpkin by Joe Trioano
It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown by Kara McMahon
Splat The Cat, What Was That? By Rob Scotton (my son loves ALL the Splat the Cat books…and there are a few Halloween Splat’s books available).
Just for fun, this year, since we won’t be going trick-or-treating, I bought our son some Halloween coloring books. These are a couple of them:
Halloween Coloring Book For Kids by Grace Brown
Witch Life by Amy Cesari (thanks to a love of Harry Potter and his Granny, our youngest has been asking about real magic and wanting to learn and Amy Cesari’s coloring books are amazing for a gentle nudge in the more witchy direction for him)
Halloweenscapes by Dover Publications
Hopefully, these titles will give you some good ideas.
