One of the goals we have had this month is to watch something spooky every single day of the month. I know I have only missed one day for my more grown-up scary movie watching.
For my son, who just this night made sure to remind me that we MUST watch a scary movie every night, we have watched more mild fare:
Hocus Pocus
The Addams Family
Addams Family Values
the recent Addams Family cartoon
Monster Island
Spookley The Square Pumpkin
The Dancing Pumpkin And The Ogre’s Ploy
Room On The Broom
Every sort of periodic episode for his favorite shows
Halloweentown-1, 2 and 3
Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin (more on Him later)
James And The Giant Peach
Frankenweenie (original live action and cartoon)
Thunder And The House Of Magic
The Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting
Daphne And Velma
This list is incomplete – and doesn’t count the fact that our youngest will watch the same flick over and over.
I am just trying to give you some ideas of things to watch, if you want. Nothing in the adult section I am about to give, is more than PG-13…that I know of at least. There are so many more I want to watch…but as I only have so many hours in a day, I do what I can. Frequently, I will watch more than one movie a night.
I shall not offer opinions on the films – if you watch them, I’ll let you form your own opinion.
The Ash Lad In The Hall Of The Mountain King
Cloverfield Lane
Pay The Ghost
Abandoned Mine
The Cave
Phoenix Forgotten (based on true events)
Stonehurst Asylum
Midnight Man
Uncanny Annie
The Haunting Of Bly House
Our House
Stay Out Stay Alive
Man Vs
Wish Upon
The Eye
Ghost In The Graveyard
The Invitation
Dark Touch
A Haunting Of Dice Road-The Hell House (true investigation)
Prey
The Quiet Ones (based on true events)
Within
Inner Ghosts
Red Handed
I my come back and add in more movies that we watch throughout the rest of the month.
Hopefully, this list will give you some ideas of something interesting to watch during this month.
Good luck.
