I am in the process of acclimating to my new schedule and new work flow, so please bear with me.
Plus, there was a death in the family recently that has left many reeling, including me.
Let’s talk my work: did I meet my January goals for my writing?
No.
I even signed up for the free Inkers Con 10K in 5 Days challenge…and wrote not a single word for anything other than emails.
In fact, other than making sure, well, for at least 95% of the time, I wrote only for my online spaces. By the end of the month, I had become too overwhelmed with family issues and let myself work through grief and whatever I needed for that.
To be clear, I am still working through that grief process, but I am also trying to step up and make sure my other responsibilities are fulfilled.
However, I have set myself some new goals for February. My new goals look exactly like my old goals, but hey, they are goals.
Goal #1 is to write at least 20,000 words in the first rewrite of Novel #1.
Goal #2 is to finish the plotting process for Novel #2.
Goal #3 is to rearrange my desk completely in order to get my third monitor up and working on my desk.
Goal #4 is to have all my rewrite notes for Novel #1, as well as all the plotting notes for Novel #2, into (separate) Scrivener documents.
Four little goals, well, along with my usual writings for my online spaces, of course. That technically means five little goals, but still…
I will keep you updated as I go through the month.
Something else if you are interested, I am posting videos more regularly on Patreon (which is a goal for my Patreon building).
