I’ve told you I am an ambassador for Danielle LaPorte and her new line of planners.

You can check out my video here and the other one here to learn all about the new line and what the planner includes.

I will talk today about working with the Advanced Reading Copy that only team members can access right now.

Now, the only available ARC is the weekly version. The planner I ordered for myself is the Daily. Once I receive the Daily, I am certain that the way I use it will shift, but for right now, slowly integrating what the 2025 planner offers into my current planning practice is a good thing for me.

Now, if you have followed me for a while, I am sure you read how I bought the Erin Condren Daily Duo planner for 2025. It is already sitting on my shelf, waiting to be put to work.

If you do not follow me, I bought the EC Daily Duo for 2025 because they tout this as the everything-in-one-place journal. You are supposed to be able to do reflection, keep your work plans, your home plans, your family plans, everything, in this one planner.

When I received it, honestly, I was disappointed, but figured I would find a way to make it work. Especially since I had ordered two other 2025 planners (no Hobonichi, no Sterling Ink). I talk about the other planners in other posts, so I will skip that here.

However, when I started to see the hype about Danielle releasing a new line of planners, after not doing it for three years, I jumped for joy. I immediately went to the website and checked them out.
    (include my website link again)

But, I had the EC Daily Duo ordered already. I could not justify a fourth planner for 2025…and I would not allow myself to buy a 2025 planner to use in 2026 (use it by re-dating it). I took a deep breath and said, out loud, ‘if I am meant to have this planner for 2025, it will come to me. If it doesn’t, in 2026, this will be the very first planner I buy.’

Was it a week later, maybe a little longer, when the email came in from Danielle and her team asking for people wanting to help sell these amazing planners as affiliates. Those accepted as affiliates would receive three free planners: one for themselves, one for a friend or family member, and one to give away in a contest.

I signed up to see if I might be accepted, not having much hope since I don’t have huge followings all over social media. And yet—I was accepted.

I was excited to be accepted as a Passion Planner Ambassador, but quickly became disillusioned as the tasks and topics to post about were extremely repetitive. They still are. I stepped back from doing the activities, but I have yet to officially say, I am done here, because I keep hoping something will change.

I recently bought the Four Seasons daily planner packager deal…and I used a fellow ambassador’s affiliate code because I get so much out of her YouTube videos, completely unrelated to Passion Planner. She has so many other things, and other planners, that she showcases.

That should tell you how I feel about affiliate programs.

But for Danielle, I knew, I just knew, it would be so different…and so much better. And thus far, that has been my entire experience.

There are times I have to stop and catch my breath because I am so thrilled and excited to be on the team.

Not so for the Danielle LaPorte support team. We as a team have Slack channel and it is off-the-hook busy. People are sharing all the time. People are chatting. People are asking questions. People are sharing tips and advice. Danielle and her team are always present and always helpful.

We get emails encouraging us as well. And no, do this, do that, talk about this, talk about that.

It is always, speak your truth, share your excitement. Danielle LaPorte stands grounded in loving-kindness. Everything she does, everything she offers stems from and begins in loving-kindness.

Not to mention, not only do we as ambassadors get access to Danielle’s Vision Builder program, every single person who uses one of her planners, whether they buy it themselves or it is gifted to them, receives access to this program. For free. All the necessary information and links are in the back pages of the planner. In the back pages of every planner.

She offers you this program because her planners are not the typical make a list and track things, check things off planner, although you have space to do that in the planners. These planners are more of a year-long self-help book, or gentle self-help course, with the planner stuff added in as well.

All the self-help pieces of the planner, these are not the typical ‘coaching’ or ‘goal-setting’ quotes or affirmations. It is more soul-oriented. The reflection helps to balance your nervous system.

Let me say this again, because what other planner has ever or could ever make this claim?

This planner helps to balance your nervous system.

The system itself has been tested by over 300,000 people. To test out the system, there was a three-year waiting list. A three-year waiting list to get in to test the planning system. And it works, this system.

Planners at Staples won’t get you to the new earth. (not my quote—I stole it from someone during the launch party)

Anyway…let me get into how I am using the ARC in my mostly daily practice. In case you forgot, the ARC I have is a weekly, so when I get my daily, I will be changing the way I do things.

Also, I am not writing on the printout of the ARC that I have. I printed out January 2025, the front of the planner, and the back of the planner. Just enough to get me working with the planner and the concepts, but in my own notebooks and on my own terms.

Things I require in my own planners are:
astrological events, especially the Full and the New Moons. This planner has that.
holidays beyond the US observed holidays. This planner has those. (so I will not miss Holi or Diwali or anything along those lines, much less the UK holidays we try to keep up for my husband, a first-generation Scottish-American)
reflection space. Passion planner has monthly reviews and yearly reviews, which is what I am used to. With Bullet Journal, you can do reviews and reflections any time you want. I do a weekly review and a monthly review in my own. As well as a yearly. However, nothing I do or have compares to the weekly reviews, the monthly reviews, and the yearly review I have found in this planner.
space for gratitude journaling: I have dedicated notebooks or spaces to do this, and since it is not in my planner, I sometimes forget to do it…or do it on a weekly basis. This planner has space for that. Not only is it a space for gratitude…it also asks you why you are grateful for whatever you are writing down.

Extras in this planner show me I can use this planner for work, for home, for family, for hobbies, for everything I could need it to hold for me.

There is a space for ‘nourishing thoughts’. I have been using this, well, in my hand-drawn mock-up version, to write affirmations, positive quotes, and/or happy thoughts. Something of that nature.

There is a monthly soul quality focus. (for example, compassion) It is not, hey, here is your monthly soul focus and you never see anything about it again. Remember, all I have is the weekly, but there is space to explore the monthly soul quality in every weekly spread, so you don’t forget about it. It’s at the top of the page, beside the nourishing thought space.

About the soul quality for the month, to me, it almost seems as if this would become my ‘word of the month’. Much like a word of a year, except, ya know, monthly. But, taking that ‘word of the month’ and coupling it with my word of the year to expand my experience … it is giving me a whole new view of a lot of things, a lot of new directions I want to try out, that I want to visit and sit with for a time to see how they feel and to see what resonates.

Then you have that little tab at the bottom corner of the page. It used to be a perforated piece that you tore off every day. Words like ‘safe’, ‘cozy’, ‘depth’, ‘unity’. I like to think of this as my word of the day. So, here I can apply the word of the day in context and juxtaposition with the word of the month and my word of the year.

Honestly, right now, I cannot keep up with an everyday depth project like that…but, uhm, isn’t my word of the year for 2024 Depth? Lol, I do what I can and let go of the rest without guilt at this point.

There is a space for key actions for the week, alongside space to track three habits per week. Each day in the weekly spread has space to write whatever you want or need to write, with dedicated space for your action steps for the day, three most important things, and two extra.

Now, when you get to the weekly reflection pages…they blow me away.

I mean it. They blow me away.

    Two pages of end-of-week reflection.

Then, two pages of looking forward to next week.

This is such a grounding process every week. This is an incredibly nurturing…and nourishing…process every week for me.

Plus, it’s not all about you, kid. It’s about what you can do for yourself, and what you can do for others.

And I am not discussing the end-of-month and beginning-of-month reflection pages. I haven’t gotten to those yet and although I have looked over them, several times, it is much different when I start to utilize the pages.

Thursday was the first Full Moon since I started doing this process. Every Full Moon and every New Moon, there is a write and burn ritual. Now, I cannot speak to this ritual beyond what it sounds like as I have not finished all the research. There is a description in the planner that teaches you about the ritual, but for a more extended experience, you can go here to access the free links to a longer written explanation (from what I read), as well as an audio. This again is in every single planner. Everyone has access to the extended version and the audio. Never fear.

I plan to do this this weekend when I have some time alone so I can pay attention fully to the audio and to my reading.
