I have added a new notebook to my planner/notebook lineup for the coming year.

To house all my readings, be they Tarot or Oracle readings, I have pulled out this notebook.

I had originally planned to use an A5 dot-grid notebook. I had planned to trim pages, create texture and Dutch doors, to have a variety of different goings-on in my Tarot journal.

The journal that chose me for this, as I had pulled out three or four different ones to see which worked best, was not at all what I had thought.

I had actually pulled this journal out to use it for daily journaling and a bit of collage and sketching if the mood struck me.

It is a A4 sketchbook that I bought at Half Price Books at some point in the past few years. The edges of the pages create their own pattern, flowers, I think. It’s quite pretty.

On the back page of the notebook, it says “This is a FLAME TREE SKETCH BOOK”. There is a website, if you are interested: www.flametreepublishing.com

Because I have no desire to cut down the pages, I have sort of let go of the idea of decorating as vigorously as I had planned.

The paper is not thick, a bit thicker than computer printing paper. It would not work well for more than sketching, perhaps some water-based markers, colored pencil, and/or collage.

I had started looking back at various readings I had done over this past year, and the year before, and I found it difficult to find them and to compare things, to track things. So, I thought a dedicated journal would be a necessary thing for me to make all of this more simple. I am planning to work through, hopefully, several different Tarot and Oracle books/courses this year. Having everything all in one place will help me in this endeavor.

I included my New Year/Coming Year’s readings that I did over Samhain. I also found a spread on Pinterest called The Ultimate Goal Setting Spread, put forth by the White Witch Academy https://www.pinterest.com/pin/751467887849061530/
That I have included and worked through as well.

I appreciate this spread as it pulls cards to help you navigate the next six months in relation to attaining your goal.

My intention currently, outside of any book or course that I may engage with later in the coming year, is to include monthly readings, New and Full Moon readings, Ethony’s Wednesday Oracle, Wheel of the Year readings, quarterly readings, and any other reading I might want or need throughout the months.

My weekly Anchor cards I still keep in my daily Bullet Journal. I don’t have an issue finding those, but perhaps one day I will have to change where I store those as well. We’ll have to see how things go.
