Originally, I had intended to use my B5 Ottergami notebook as a review and as a weekly/monthly tracker.
I set it up for December, leaving plenty of space for the coming year as I carved out space for Quarter 4, and then for Quarter 1.
I had two pages, a two-page spread, partially set up to be used as a tracker for any number of daily tasks that I need or want to track.
The month of December began. I looked at the notebook, sitting there, waiting to be used…and I purposely ignored it.
I could not think of everything I wanted to track, in an order that I wanted to track it.
Then the idea of tracking every week all together, a month-long trek of tracking, I turned away again.
But, still, I pulled out this notebook and began to use the planning, the review, the braindump pages.
Before long, a better purpose revealed itself to me.
This is my online work/activity tracker and planner. This is where I will track how often I publish on this blog, on Medium, on Substack (should I re-open that to paid subscriptions). I also have space for TikTok and YouTube, should I desire to start planning these things and putting videos out on a more regular basis.
I am planning to rebuild things this year, so I am not certain exactly what I will be focusing on, other than my writing and my artwork.
But, thus far, the Ottergami notebook has been working out a treat for its current purpose. I think I might have to keep using it for this purpose.
I’ll have to see if I change up the way I track things in it, but currently, I am happy with the simplicity of things.
