Personal Challenge For Myself For December

For the month of December, I decided to give myself another challenge.

Originally, I had a square-a-day idea to make a blanket by the end of the month.

My youngest changed my mind.

Instead of blanket squares, I am going to be crocheting a snowflake a day for the month of December.

I hope to find plenty of sparkly white yarn with which to do this project. When my son and I had been discussing this project during the late summer, Joann Fabrics had just begun releasing sparkling Big Twist skeins. When I went to order a few skeins of white yarn with silver sparkle, it was all sold out…as was the white with gold sparkle. Although I would love to create black sparkly snowflakes, even that was sold out when I started looking.

Hopefully, we’ll have that issue all ironed out in time to begin.

The goal of this challenge is to create 30 snowflakes to hang on our Christmas tree.

I will keep you up to date on how this challenge goes throughout the month.
