In September, I crocheted a myriad of pumpkins to satisfy our youngest and his pumpkin obsession. I exceeded my initial desire of thirty pumpkins. We now have some extremely colorful pumpkins (as requested) all over the house, which pleases our son to no end.
In October, the challenge was to make a snowman, one per day, for a total of thirty-one, or at least thirty.
I made…not a single one. I even found an unopened snowman kit originally from Mary Maxim at a local thrift store for $3 and bought that, as well as the two other snowman kits I had actually purchased from Mary Maxim directly. I never touched them.
Every time I thought about making a snowman, even if it were only a tiny applique of one, of just the head or something, my entire body revolted. I did not want to make a snowman. Not with anyone. Not for anyone.
So, that challenge was a bust.
That I don’t wanna do it energy started to follow me into November as well…until I found a lovely simple pattern for a holiday tree ornament/applique/whatever. I started crocheting up several trees per day, every day, so I do not think this one is going to be a problem. But more on the November challenge later on.
