Planner Recap From September

I need to make a short video flip-through of my Bullet Journal to share with everyone.

Being back in a BuJo format, in my A5 Stalogy, has been great. It continues to be great for me.

All I want is a planner with monthly spreads so I can make appointments in the future without worrying about, I guess, crossing the streams with other appointments, as there are five of us (roughly) who need appointments. Some of these appointments are scheduled a few months ahead of time, or even a year ahead of time…so just having that sense of security when scheduling things would be helpful for me.

Most of my spreads are quite minimal. However, at the beginning of the month, there are several other spreads that I enjoy adding in. I also love to tip in postcards, random extra pages and inquiries, and whatever I find that I enjoy.

My weekly and daily spreads have been working great for me. Being able to randomly add reflection and/or brain dump pages has been so helpful for me.

I am still awaiting the arrival of my 2024 Sterling Ink (dated) planner (in the Weeks size). I do have two undated Sterling Ink planners. I know one is a B6; the other is either another B6 or an A5. I also bought a Weeks’ sized blank notebook, the 520 page one, when they were available originally. I have not yet begun to use it. About the time it arrived, I started trying to use more Passion Planner-esque things as I became a brand Ambassador for Pash Plan.

A word about that. No harm and no foul meant towards Pash Plan, but when I became an ambassador for them, I was already letting go of Passion Planner completely. I did buy several after-market Pash Plan planners and a notebook—thanks to eBay. I set two of them up…and used the one for about two days before just calling it quits.

I did try to keep up with the monthly Ambassador activities, until a few months ago. That is when it hit me that the monthly prompts, activities, and ideas were all too repetitive for me. How many times in a single year—as I have not done this for an entire year—can you write about curiosity, grace, empowerment, authenticity…in the same planner? Or using the same spreads?

I am not adverse to being repetitive, to tackling the same topic in new and exciting ways, but…fighting to discover new and helpful ways to help other plans plan in their planners, especially in a planner that I just cannot get into again, it became too much of a slog…and I was already having enough trouble making it through my own stuff to fight so hard to battle my way through someone else’s ideas.

I have not yet completed my Quarter Four goal setting as yet. My Q4 goals revolve around Home, Hearth, and Heart. So, I will be working on creating a more encompassing and more compassionate space in our home. I will be seeking to create deeper bonds with family. I am also trying as hard as I possibly can to get rid of 80% of all the accumulated bits and bobs and clutter and other randomness that has built up over the past few years. Our youngest has issues letting go of things and he has become the major accumulator of late.

I do have a few writing goals in Q4, but we can get to those later.

My current planner set-up is working for me right now. I have no intention of changing that at all.

Once I find a better lit place that is quiet, or at least as quiet as I can find here in this place, I will film a quick flip-through of my planner and post it.

Until next time, thank you for joining me on this journey.
