Tell me what it is — or tell me the story about it.
The creature: lurks under the water, but can come out on land. It smells strongly of decay. It comes out any time of day or night. Boats turn up with deep claw marks on their bottoms. Occasionally a fisherman will disappear from the banks of the lake, never to be seen again. More frequently, the family dog does not come back from its off-leash adventure.
